Prof. Ivana Miletić was born in 1971 in Zagreb, Croatia. She graduated from the School of Dental Medicine in Zagreb in 1995 and joined the Department of Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry in 1996. She completed her Master’s degree in 1998 and defended her doctoral dissertation in 2000, followed by her specialist examination in 2004.
Academic Career
Miletić has built a distinguished academic career at the University of Zagreb School of Dental Medicine, progressing through all academic ranks. She was appointed Assistant Professor in 2001, Associate Professor in 2005, and Full Professor in 2008, attaining permanent tenure as Full Professor in 2013. She is actively involved in both clinical and pre-clinical teaching, and serves as course director on the doctoral study programme, the postgraduate specialist study programme, and in continuing dental education courses.
Research & Publications
She is the author and co-author of over 100 scientific, review, and professional papers, of which 40 are indexed in Current Contents. She has contributed to two dental textbooks as an author or co-author, and has actively participated in numerous national, European, and international congresses, delivering invited lectures, courses, and symposia both in Croatia and abroad.
Professional Memberships & Leadership
Miletić is a member of several leading professional and scientific organisations, including the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the European Society of Endodontics (ESE), the Croatian Medical Association, the Croatian Dental Society, and the Croatian Chamber of Dental Medicine. Between 2006 and 2014 she served as Secretary and National Representative to the European Society of Endodontics (ESE). She currently serves as President of the Croatian Society for Minimally Invasive Dental Medicine.
