Dear colleagues, dear friends, dear ORCA family,

As we come to the end of the 73rd ORCA Congress, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for making this meeting such a remarkable success. Over the past few days, since 24 June, Zagreb has become a place where science, collaboration, and friendship came together in the true spirit of ORCA. We have shared exciting new research, engaged in stimulating discussions, exchanged ideas, challenged perspectives, and learned from one another. Just as importantly, we have strengthened old friendships, created new ones, and once again demonstrated that ORCA is much more than a scientific society, it is a community. I sincerely hope that you leave Zagreb inspired by the knowledge you have gained, the conversations you have had, and the connections you have made. The presentations may now be over, but I am confident that many new collaborations have only just begun.
A congress like this is never the work of one person. It is the result of the dedication, enthusiasm, and generosity of many individuals. I would therefore like to express my deepest appreciation to our invited speakers, presenters, moderators, the Scientific Committee, the ORCA Board, our sponsors and partners, our volunteers, the members of the Local Organizing Committee, and last but certainly not least, the ORCA Band. Your hard work, professionalism, enthusiasm, and commitment made this congress possible and created countless inspiring memories and moments of joy.
I would also like to thank the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb, and all the institutions that supported us in bringing the ORCA Congress to Croatia. Their confidence and support have been invaluable.
Most importantly, thank you to all of you, our participants. Thank you for your scientific contributions, your thoughtful questions, your enthusiasm, and your willingness to share your knowledge and experience. It is your active participation that gives ORCA its unique atmosphere and makes every congress special, from the scientific sessions to the social events. When we welcomed you a few days ago, I quoted the Roman philosopher Cicero: Historia magistra vitae est, history is the teacher of life. During this congress, we have added another chapter to ORCA's rich history. I hope that years from now, we will remember the 73rd ORCA Congress not only for its excellent science, but also for the warmth of its atmosphere, the friendships it strengthened, and the collaborations it inspired. Although this congress is coming to an end, the work we do together continues. The ideas discussed here will grow into new projects, new publications, and, ultimately, new ways to improve oral health for people around the world.
On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, thank you for placing your trust in us and for making Zagreb the home of the ORCA family during this memorable week in June 2026. It has been both an honour and a privilege to host you. We wish you a safe journey home, good health, happiness, and every success in your personal and professional lives. We look forward to meeting you all again at the next ORCA Congress in Ann Arbor.
