Instructions for Presenters

 

There are three types of presentations:

• Poster Only
• Poster Presentation
• Oral Presentation

Each type has specific requirements as outlined below.

The file should be saved by last name, first name, and abstract number (e.g., Smith John_143). When submitting the poster, please also include the poster number and the presenter’s last name in the subject line of the email.

Poster Only

• Authors are required to prepare and display a poster.
• Authors must be present at their poster on Friday from 08:30 for discussion.
• Prepare your poster (PDF file max 5Mb) and send it via e-mail to abstract@orca2026.hr before 31^st May 2026. This step is crucial for publication on the congress website.
• You should print out your poster. The mandatory size for your printed poster is A0 (84.1cm x 118.9cm) in portrait (vertical) format. Larger sizes or landscape orientations will not fit.

Poster Presentation

• Authors are required to prepare a poster and attend the assigned poster discussion session.
• In addition, authors will give a short oral presentation in the form of slides according to the schedule:
  • 2-minutes presentation using a maximum of 2 slides
  • 4-minute discussion
  • Total: 6 minutes
• Both the poster (PDF file max 5MB) and the 2 presentation slides (PPT file max 5MB, 2 slides without animations) must be submitted in advance via e-mail to abstract@orca2026.hr before 31^st May 2026 and will be made available on the congress website.
• You should print out your poster. The mandatory size for your printed poster is A0 (84.1cm x 118.9cm) in portrait (vertical) format. Larger sizes or landscape orientations will not fit.
• Each presenter will have two (2) minutes to pitch their research, followed by four (4) minutes for questions.

Oral Presentation

• No poster is required.
• Authors must prepare an oral presentation (PPT file max 10MB):
  • 10-minute presentation
  • 5-minute discussion
• There is no strict limit on the number of slides (PPT file max 10MB, slides without animations)
• Presentation slides must be submitted in advance via e-mail to abstract@orca2026.hr before 31^st May 2026..
• The presentation (full or a shorter version) will be published on the congress website.

Submission Requirements

• All materials must be submitted no later than 31^st May.
• Submitted materials will be made available on the congress website as follows:
  • Poster Only: poster (PDF file max 5MB)
  • Poster Presentation: poster (PDF file max 5MB)+ 2 slides (PPT file max 5MB, 2 slides without animations)
  • Oral Presentation: presentation (full or shortened version) (PPT file max 10MB, slides without animations)

Poster Format and Technical Specifications

• Posters should be prepared in (vertical) orientation.
• Recommended poster size is A0 (84.1cm x 118.9cm).
• Posters should be submitted in PDF format (file max 5MB), print-ready.
• Please ensure:
  • High resolution (minimum 300 dpi)
  • Fonts are embedded
  • File size is optimized for upload

• Your poster file and presentation slides should be sent by e-mail to abstract@orca2026.hr before 31^st May 2026.

Poster Printing Service (Optional)

Participants may choose to have their poster printed in Zagreb through the official congress PCO.

• Poster printing is available upon request if ordered by 31^st May 2026, at an additional cost of EUR 25.
• Printed posters will be ready for collection at the congress venue. Payment is to be made in cash on-site upon collection.
